Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today:
- The recent Beach Ball event raised over $1 million for the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation. The event, which has been held each year for close to 20 years, was held on Mar. 26 with the theme of "Meet me in Tulum." Proceeds from the event will go to various programs within Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation, including expansion plans and talk of additional locations throughout the Phoenix Metro Area. - A teen and preteen were shot and injured Thursday night in south Phoenix near 4400 S. 28th St. The teens, who were not identified immediately, were taken to a local hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. The investigation, including potential suspects, is still ongoing. (Phoenix Patch)
- A Phoenix man is facing drug charges after federal agents allegedly found over 150,000 blue pills, believed to be fentanyl, in his apartment. According to police, Jesus Osvaldo Aguilar Rosas, 20, was arrested Tuesday on four counts of possession of controlled substances for distribution of methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin. After searching his apartment, authorities also found $30,000 in cash, a weapon, and multiple blue pills. (KTAR.com)
