Best Children’s Hospitals In Arizona: U.S. News & World Report

PHOENIX, AZ — Phoenix Children's Hospital is included among the best children's hospitals in the United States, according to a new U.S. News & World Report annual ranking.

The 2020-21 best children’s hospital rankings, released Tuesday, feature the top 50 hospitals in 10 pediatric specialties and 10 hospitals that earned a spot on the magazine’s honor roll.

Boston Children’s Hospital claimed the No. 1 spot on the honor roll for the seventh consecutive year.

The 2020-21 edition of the Best Children’s Hospitals does not include data from the coronavirus pandemic, which began after the data-collection period ended.

Phoenix Children's Hospital was the only facility in Arizona to earn a spot on this year's overall ranking. While it didn't make the honor roll, the hospital was ranked among the top 50 in all 10 pediatric specialties.

Phoenix Children's Hospital received the following rankings by specialty:

• Cancer: 35th
• Cardiology & Heart Surgery: 27th
• Diabetes & Endocrinology: 39th
• Gastroenterology & GI Surgery: 34th
• Neonatology: 20th
• Nephrology: 33rd
• Neurology & Neurosurgery: 29th
• Orthopedics: 23rd
• Pulmonology & Lung Surgery: 37th
• Urology: 45th

7. Children’s National Hospital
8. Nationwide Children’s Hospital
9. UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh
10. Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford
