Black Chamber of Arizona Launches Black History Month Business Series
The Weekly, In-Person Series Will Bring Together Black-Owned Businesses, Leadership and Entrepreneurs for Candid Discussions Across Arizona
The Black Chamber of Arizona is celebrating Black History Month with a four-part fireside chat series, Black History in Business: Fireside Chats Across Arizona, held every Thursday in February from 7–9 p.m. The intimate, in-person series will spotlight Black-owned businesses, leadership and entrepreneurs while fostering meaningful dialogue around growth, resilience, collaboration and legacy.
Designed for entrepreneurs, executives, creatives and professionals, each session will offer candid conversations that deliver real-world insight, relationship-driven networking and actionable takeaways. Events are hosted at Black-owned employer firms across the Valley that are creating jobs, strengthening local economies and contributing to Arizona’s GDP. Final location details are provided on each registration page.
“Black history is not just something we honor, it’s something we are actively building,” said Dr. Velma Trayham, President and CEO of the Black Chamber of Arizona. “This series is about celebrating history in real time, learning directly from leaders who are doing the work and ensuring that our businesses are not only surviving, but scaling, collaborating and leaving a lasting legacy.”

February 12: Scaling with Intention — Growth, Brand and Influence
Week Two focuses on the realities of scaling a business with purpose, exploring how to grow without losing alignment, brand integrity or operational control.
No business grows in isolation. Week Three centers on the power of relationships, capital access and shared economic impact for Black-owned businesses.
February 26: Legacy, Leadership and the Future of Black Business
The series concludes with a forward-looking conversation focused on legacy, leadership and the future of Black enterprise in Arizona and beyond.
