Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today:
- The body of a local man who had gone missing last month was discovered on Saturday morning in a west Phoenix neighborhood. Authorities found the remains of Maison Whitson, 44, near 35th Avenue and Alice Avenue. Detectives say they are currently investigating Whitson's death as a homicide. (12news.com KPNX)
- Phoenix Public Library is attempting to bridge the digital divide during the pandemic by expanding public WiFi access and desktop usage for its cardholders. The hotspot coverage area has been expanded to the parking lot, meaning cardholders don't have to go inside for internet access. This change could make a big difference for local individuals who need internet-connected devices, but may not have reliable access at home. (ABC15 Arizona)
- Phoenix is in for some sunshine with cool periods towards the middle and end of the week. There's a chance of heavy clouds and showers on Wednesday. Expect temperatures high into the 70s and low into the 30s. (Phoenix Patch)
