Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix:
- Phoenix has been listed as one of the "buggiest" cities in the country by Thumbtack. The list places Phoenix in the 19th spot behind Nashville, Tennessee. Dallas, Texas was placed in the #1 spot. The list was compiled using home project data. (AZ Big Media)
- Maricopa County has given over 2,000 doses of the Monkeypox vaccine. The county Department of Public Health reports it plans to conduct additional vaccination event in the upcoming weeks. Since Jun. 7, there have been 28 confirmed cases of Monkeypox in the county with 14 suspected cases. (AZ Central)
- The Phoenix Police Department has announced that its interim chief will be coming from the Baltimore Police Department. Michael Sullivan will take the interim role on Sept. 12, according to the city. He will reportedly be in the position for at least a year while the department conducts a nationwide search to find a permanent replacement. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
