Ted’s Hot Dogs, a fourth-generation, family-owned restaurant founded in 1927, will celebrate the opening of its new Chandler location at 2700 E. Germann Rd. with a series of community-focused events, beginning the week with a special preview and free lunch for first responders, local nonprofits, city leaders and service organizations. The public grand opening will take place on Saturday, May 23, followed by a New York themed Buffalo Day on Sunday, May 24.
On Saturday, May 23, Ted’s Hot Dogs will officially open its doors to the public and kick off its grand opening celebration with immediate in-store giveaways. The first customer through the door will receive a Ted’s Golden Keychain, which grants the awardee unlimited buy-one-get-one free hot dogs for life. The first 20 guests will receive a free Ted’s Hot Dogs T‑shirt and the first 100 customers will enjoy a free hot dog. Patrons can also cool off with free ice cream all day at the walk‑up window while supplies last.
Five more chances to score a golden keychain will be presented during the event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
On Sunday, May 24, the first 50 guests to stop by the Chandler location donning Buffalo, New York gear will receive a free hot dog. Opening weekend will culminate with Buffalo Day, a themed tribute to Ted’s Hot Dogs’ beginnings in Buffalo, New York, where Greek immigrant Theodore Spiro Liaros first opened the family-owned stand under the Peace Bridge.
The Chandler restaurant was built from the ground up as a respectful nod to that original location, carrying forward Ted’s beloved retro look while thoughtfully updating features for today’s families. With spacious outdoor patio seating, indoor gathering nooks for sharing meals together, a walk‑up ice cream window and the brand’s first‑ever drive‑thru, the new location blends nearly a century of tradition with a welcoming, neighborhood feel.

ABOUT TED’S HOT DOGS
Founded in 1927 by Greek immigrant Theodore Spiro Liaros, Ted’s Hot Dogs is a fourth-generation, family owned and operated restaurant known for its charcoal grilled hot dogs, scratch onion rings, burgers, sausages, milkshakes and open-fire cooking tradition. What began as a single stand beneath the Peace Bridge in Buffalo, NY, has since grown into 11 locations across Arizona and Western New York, in addition to a roaming food truck. Ted’s is recognized for its customer-facing cooking style, commitment to real hardwood lump charcoal grilling, and use of regional ingredients and brands. Nearly a century later, Ted’s continues to serve authentic, made-to-order comfort food while expanding its 45-year legacy in Arizona. tedhotdogs.com.
