Drunk Christmas Carol, presented by the Drunk Shakespeare Society, brings a boozy twist on Charles Dickens’ holiday classic to Phoenix for a limited run at The Rose Theatre from Nov. 12, 2026, through Jan. 3, 2027. Tickets go on sale Oct. 9, 2026, giving audiences a chance to plan a holiday outing filled with comedy, audience participation and festive cocktails.
One daring actor takes five shots of whiskey before attempting an epic retelling of “A Christmas Carol.” When the holiday season’s most eligible miser is visited by three ghosts, will he change his ways, or get totally scrooged? Chaos, laughter and holiday mayhem ensue as the sober cast tries to keep the story on track, while audience participation and improvisation turn this classic Dickens tale into a tipsy, twisted toast to the season of spirits—both ghostly and alcoholic.
