Candidate Profile: Dave Giles For Congress In District 9

The 2020 election is heating up in Arizona with plenty of candidates vying for office. While there is a huge emphasis on the presidential election, voters will also decide the outcome of local elections and determine who will fill state representative and senate seats.

Patch asked candidates to answer questions about their campaigns and will be publishing candidate profiles as election day draws near.

Dave Giles, a Gilbert resident, is running for U.S. House of Representatives in District 9.

Jobs and economy. Safety and security. Airedale Healthcare.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I am an engineer with several technical certifications making technically competent to solve complex problems. I have an MBA with international and domestic business experience making accountable and responsible. I have a BA and two MAs in Theology (Doctorate is ABD), and a Reverend showing I am a man of God.

Competent, businessman, man of God. None of which my opponent has.

I have a Federal Firearms License where I can buy, sell and manufacture firearms and ammunition. The Federal government trusts me (FFL). The state of Arizona trusts me (CCW -Conceal Carry Weapons permit). County and local government trusts me. I am asking the people of CD9 to trust me too.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Multiple degrees. Business experience. Ability to commit to the people.

What steps should state government take to bolster economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic for local businesses?

Permit business to accommodate the needs of the people.

How will you address the calls for racial justice and police reform?

Educate the public and police to the whole perspective without media bias.
