Cards Lose Out On Kirk Cousins Sweepstakes, Says ESPN
The Cardinals, looking for a replacement for Carson Palmer, had hoped to sign Kirk Cousins. it looks not to be the case.

TEMPE, AZ – It looks like the Cards have lost out on the Kirk Cousins sweepstakes. ESPN says it looks like the Redskins quarterback is headed north, to the Vikings.
The Cardinals are looking for someone to fill the gaping hole left by Carson Palmer, who retired at the end of last season.
Of the free agents out there, Cousins was considered the best available free agent.

Things looked better for the Cards after reports came out that the Broncos were likely to sign Case Keenum.
Unfortunately, those hopes were quickly dashed.

New coach Steve Wilks says the team will be aggressive about filling Palmer's spikes, whether in free agency, by trade, or at the draft.
