Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today:

  1. Earlier this week, a Phoenix man engaged in a car chase with a pair of thieves who had apparently absconded with his car's catalytic converter. Police say the incident is part of a wave of catalytic converter thefts over the past several weeks. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
  2. A local car salesman was arrested this week on suspicion of a long list of schemes. The suspect, Eduardo Rodriguez, allegedly peddled fake warranties and sold single cars to multiple customers. ADOT says people should take their time, ask questions, and do research when they plan on buying a used vehicle privately or through a dealer. (KTAR.com)
  3. Meet the candidates looking to become Maricopa County's top prosecutor. After Monday's filing deadline for the coming primary, the qualified candidates include three Republicans and one Democrat running unopposed. See all the details at the link. (Phoenix New Times)
