Cindy McCain Tells ASU Students: "You Too Can Help Others"
Cindy McCain was honored at Arizona State University's annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration for her work fighting human trafficking

TEMPE, AZ – "You are next," Cindy McCain tells the students gathered at Arizona State University's annual Dr. Martin Luther King Day Celebration on Thursday.
"It's your time yo make the right decisions and live your life in the right way so that you, too, can help others."
McCain's not in the room with the students. She's speaking via Skype from her home where she is taking care of her husband, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) as he recovers from the side effects of a recent treatment for the brain cancer that's left him unable to return to Washington, DC.

McCain's being honored with the school's 2018 Community Service Leadership Award for her work as the co-chair of the Arizona Human Trafficking Council and as a member of the McCain Institute's Human Trafficking Advisory Council.
"With regard to vulnerable women and children, it's an area that I've worked inf or a long time," she says. "It is something that moved my heart at a young age."
