Coronavirus In Arizona: State Nears 7K Cases; 293 Deaths Reported
The number of coronavirus-related deaths increased by 18 between Monday and Tuesday, according to state health officials.

PHOENIX, AZ — The number of confirmed new coronavirus cases in Arizona is nearing 7,000 as the state reported an additional 232 positive cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases to 6,948, according to the the Arizona Department of Health Services. That's 190 more than previously reported.
So far, 293 people in Arizona have died from COVID-19. That's an increase of 18 from Monday, the only day in a month to see no new deaths, according to the latest data.
State health officials confirmed that 67,438 COVID-19 tests have been completed, including 895 new tests as of Monday.

Maricopa County continues to have the largest number of coronavirus cases in the state. According to health officials, there have been 3,578 cases and 137 deaths, up 15 from Monday.
Pima County has the second highest number of coronavirus cases in the state. The latest data shows there have been 1,188 cases and 78 deaths.

- Coconino: 439 cases, 38 deaths
- Gila: 11 cases, 0 deaths

- Greenlee: 2 cases, 0 deaths
- La Paz: 7 cases, 0 deaths
- Mohave: 99 cases, 4 deaths
- Navajo: 665 cases, 18 deaths
- Pinal: 365 cases, 9 deaths
- Santa Cruz: 31 cases, 0 deaths
- Yavapai: 77 cases, 0 deaths
- Yuma: 60 cases, 0 deaths
