Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today:

  1. Temperatures are getting dangerously hot in the valley. A mobile home caught fire yesterday afternoon, according to the Phoenix Fire Department. The fire began around 2:00 p.m. at 30th Avenue and Deer Valley Road and displaced two people and their pets. Yesterday was the first 115-degree day of the year, according to the National Weather Service. (Fox 10)
  2. A man is dead after being shot several times on Sunday night. Police were called to the corner of 16th and Roosevelt Streets around 10:15 p.m. after receiving reports of a man in the roadway. The man was found next to his bicycle and had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. As of Monday evening, no suspects have been identified. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
  3. A local lobster joint is taking inflation into its own claws. Angie's Lobster, a drive-thru lobster restaurant concept, wants to anchor prices at $9.99 for a lobster roll meal. To do that, owner Tony Christofellis acquired a wharf on Bailey Island in Maine in order to buy lobster straight from the lobstermen. "No one has done this," said Christofellis.
