Women seeking answers about their hormonal health will have an opportunity to hear directly from a leading endocrinologist when Dr. Gillian Goddard visits Tempe on June 9 to discuss her newly released book, The Hormone Loop: An Empowering Guide to Restoring Hormonal Harmony, from Puberty to Menopause.

The Arizona native will appear at Changing Hands Bookstore on Tuesday, June 9, at 7 p.m. for a discussion and book signing centered on women's health, hormones and the importance of becoming informed advocates for personal well-being.

A board-certified endocrinologist and adjunct assistant professor of medicine at NYU, Goddard recently gained national attention through a recent appearance on "Good Morning America," where she discussed the questions women should ask their doctors about hormonal health and the often-overlooked role hormones play throughout every stage of life.

In The Hormone Loop, published by HarperCollins, Goddard offers an accessible, evidence-based guide to understanding the hormonal changes women experience from puberty through menopause. The book explores how hormones influence nearly every bodily function, from metabolism and mood to bone health, digestion and muscle growth.

"From our moods to our metabolism, hormones run the show behind nearly every bodily function," Goddard writes. Yet many women lack a comprehensive resource that explains how hormonal changes connect across different life stages.

That gap in understanding inspired Goddard to write the book.

"There are books about puberty, pregnancy and menopause," she said. "But until now there wasn't a book that helped women connect the dots from one stage to the next."

Her goal was to create a single resource women could return to throughout their lives to better understand what is happening in their bodies and why, while empowering them to have more informed conversations with their healthcare providers.

The book breaks down complex hormonal systems into understandable concepts, helping readers recognize common symptoms, understand hormonal fluctuations and navigate healthcare decisions with confidence.

The June 9 event at Changing Hands Bookstore will provide attendees an opportunity to hear directly from Goddard about the science behind hormonal health, ask questions and learn practical strategies for advocating for their health at every age.

The event begins at 7 p.m. at Changing Hands Bookstore in Tempe. Copies of The Hormone Loop will be available for purchase and signing following the discussion.
