Facial Recognition Finds Alleged Gang Member, Fraudster: ADOT

ADOT detectives arrested him after facial recognition software found his face on two separate drivers license applications.

PHOENIX, AZ — Facial recognition software was instrumental in arresting a man accused of stealing IDs and weapons violations. Sandro Tentory, 43, was arrested by Arizona Department of Transportation detectives on June 7 at a Sahuarita home.

Tentory used information stolen from two people living in Illinois in order to apply for two separate Arizona drivers licenses, authorities allege. ADOT officials say Tentory, of Sahuarita, was a documented member of the Chicago-based gang Maniac Latin Disciples, KVOA reports.

Authorities said they were able to find Tentory because the ADOT facial recognition system found two profiles in their system, each with a photo of him.
