Free Fireworks, Food And Fun: Phoenix's Fabulous 4th Is Back
The free July 4 event in Central Phoenix is set for 6-10 p.m., with fireworks starting at 9:15 p.m.
PHOENIX, AZ — One of the Southwest's largest Fourth of July celebrations is returning to Central Phoenix, and it's free.
The city's 38th annual Fabulous Phoenix 4th is set for Saturday, July 4, at Steele Indian School Park, 3rd Street and Indian School Road. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m.
The event features one of the largest fireworks displays in the Southwest, along with live entertainment, local food and artisan vendors, a car show featuring classic cars, and an ice cream eating contest. Activity areas across the park include PAC Land, a kids zone with inflatables, water slides and games, and a Teen Zone with inflatables, a dance floor and yard games. Veterans Village will offer dedicated seating for the fireworks show.

There is no vehicle entrance and no public parking at the event site. The city strongly recommends taking Valley Metro Light Rail, with enhanced service expected to begin around 5 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to load funds onto the Valley Metro app or Copper Card before arriving. Three pedestrian entrances will be open at:
- Central Avenue and Glenrosa Avenue
- 3rd Street and Indian School Road
- 7th Street just north of Turney Avenue
What to know before you go
This is a non-alcohol event. All attendees and carry-in items are subject to search. Prohibited items include drones, personal fireworks, barbecue grills, glass bottles, pets, fold-out tables, laser pointers, skateboards, inline skates and kites. Service animals are permitted.
The park's dog park will be closed July 1 through 5. The entire park closes for event setup on July 3 and remains closed until gates open at 6 p.m. on July 4.
