Friend Stabs Phoenix Girl, 13, Multiple Times In Face: Police
A 13-year-old girl is expected to recover from multiple stab wounds to the face after she and a friend got into an argument, police said.

PHOENIX, AZ — A 13-year-old Phoenix girl was stabbed “numerous” times in the face by a longtime friend after the two got into an argument Tuesday, Phoenix police said. The girl’s injuries, which police described as “puncture wounds,” are not life threatening, police said.
The boy accused of stabbing her is also 13, according to a Phoenix Police Department news release. The incident happened at a home in the vicinity of 41st Avenue and Buckeye Road just before noon, and the boy has since been taken into custody
“The two, who have known each other most of their lives had gotten into an argument, but it is unknown what it was about or what the motive for the attack was,” police said in the release.

The girl was taken to a pediatric trauma facility in stable condition.
