- The Cactus-Pine Girl Scouts sold an astonishing 2.6M boxes of cookies this season. - A Phoenix man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after selling fentanyl to a mother who fatally overdosed back in 2019. Reyes Luis Holguin pled guilty to selling drugs, including fentanyl, to the victim and has been ordered to pay the family $6,000 in addition to his 10-year sentence. (12news.com KPNX)
- After decades with the WNBA, Bridget Pettis left basketball to help Phoenix heal through yoga. Pettis, who played and coached in the WNBA, is a co-founder of Project Roots yoga wellness collective which seeks to provide and promote a healthier, natural, and more sustainable way of living in urban areas. While she's been a certified yoga teacher for over 10 years, Pettis started the organization with Dionne Washington in 2019. (The Arizona Republic)
