Glendale Mom Arrested After Leaving Toddler In Car While Shopping

GLENDALE, AZ – A teenage mom was arrested after leaving her two-year-old alone in a car while she shopped. Dakota Brown, 19, is charged with abuse and endangerment.

Glendale police were called to the shopping plaza by Northern and 91st around 9 p.m. on Monday night after passersby saw the child alone.

Police found the child in a nearby store and while she told officers that she would check on the child from the store window, the vehicle's windows were tinted, making that unlikely.

Recovered by police, the child was dirty and covered in urine.
