Goodyear Teacher Arrested On Sex Misconduct Charge

GOODYEAR, AZ – A teacher at Las Brisas Academy Elementary School in Goodyear is under arrest, charged with suspicion of sexual misconduct with a minor. Police say that 27-year-old Brittany Zamora was taken into custody at her home on Thursday morning.

Police were notified after the parents of a 13-year-old boy notified the principal that they had found text messages between Zamora and their son indicating sexual activity at the school and other places.

District superintendent Richard Rundhaug sent a statement to parents saying that they are cooperating with the police in their investigation.

Part of the probe is focusing on whether other students were involved.
