  1. Governor Doug Ducey was absent from a discussion about border security in Phoenix on Monday after testing positive for COVID-19. During the event, Ducey was slated to meet with former Vice President Mike Pence to discuss national security at the United States-Mexico border. The governor is reportedly asymptomatic and feeling well. (FOX 10 News Phoenix)
  2. The City of Phoenix is offering a paid training program to encourage Valley residents to become street maintenance workers. The two-year apprenticeship program offers an hourly wage of $17 and includes raises every six months. The city is actively recruiting for the program. Interested applicants should call 602-495-2410 to learn more. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
  3. After a five-year absence, the popular "Dinosaurs in the Desert" exhibit is returning to the Phoenix Zoo this fall. The complete display, featuring a gigasaurus, troodon, allosaurus, giant bear, sea scorpion, and more, will open to the public on Oct. 3. In the meantime, guests can catch a sneak preview of the exhibit by visiting the animatronic kentrosaurus near the zoo carousel. (The Arizona Republic)

  • The Phoenix Public Library is offering a collection of LGBTQ+ films through Kanopy in honor of Pride Month. To view these films, just visit Kanopy using your PPL library card. (Phoenix Public Library via Facebook)
  • Join the City of Phoenix Water Services Department on Jun. 22 at 6:00 p.m. to learn about a new public art project.
