Hiker Bit By Rattlesnake: Phoenix Fire Dept.
"Please be mindful that rattlesnakes are very active right now," the Phoenix Fire Department warned.
PHOENIX, AZ—A man was airlifted to a nearby hospital after a rattlesnake bit him Friday while hiking South Mountain Park, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
Firefighters said the experienced hiker, who is in his fifties, was near the top of a trail when the snake struck him.

"Please be mindful that rattlesnakes are very active right now," the fire department warned on its official Twitter page.
