Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today:

1. Realtor.com has ranked the Phoenix housing market #3 on its list of metro areas experiencing the highest rate of home price slashing. According to the site, over 29 percent of Phoenix listings have reduced prices. The median listing price in Phoenix is $548,500. Phoenix sells the most homes in the United States. (12news.com KPNX)
2. The Immersive Monet & Friends is officially open in Phoenix. The exhibit allows guests to experience Oscar-Claude Monet's paintings in a unique medium. There are other Impressionist painters on display as well. Click the following link to view a special video on the exhibit. (Arizona's Family)
3. The back-to-school backpack giveaway will be on Saturday. The event will be held at American Family Fields of Phoenix on 51st Street. 1,000 backpacks will be distributed during the event between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The bookbags will be filled with school supplies.
