Food service workers are striking at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport today, calling for improved staffing at restaurants, bars, and coffee shops.

PHOENIX, AZ — Food service workers are striking at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport today, calling for improved staffing at restaurants, bars, and coffee shops owned by HMS Host.

"HMS Host workers are on strike and plan to march all day calling on HMS Host to properly staff its concessions counters at Phoenix Sky Harbor," the union wrote on its Twitter page.

AZ Central reports HMS Host manages restaurants at Sky Harbor including Starbucks, Shake Shack, Blanco Tacos + Tequila, and Cowboy Ciao. ABC 15 also lists Barrio Cafe, Chelsey's Kitchen, La Grande Orange, Olive & Ivy, San Tan Brewery, and Zinburger as HMS Host properties in a May 2021 article.
