• Coach Mike Paynes of Excel Sports and volunteers will distribute 385 pairs of shoes collected around the Valley to men and women experiencing homelessness on the Human Services Campus on Saturday.
• The shoe-collection effort takes place every other year.

• The Lodestar Day Resource Center on the Human Services Campus, 12th Avenue and Madison.

• Coach Mike Paynes and volunteers.
• Excel Sports is a team of coaches and dedicated individuals who love teaching kids through the game of basketball. The focus is on main goals including: teaching sportsmanship, encouraging teamwork, maintaining a positive attitude, showing respect, facilitating communication and continuing education.
• The Human Services Campus: a 13-acre property where 16 independent nonprofit organizations collaborate to provide a range of wrap-around services and resources designed to help men and women experiencing homelessness move from street to home.
