PHOENIX, AZ — Hundreds of layoffs may be coming at two companies with a footprint in the Phoenix area, according to a state database.

A total of 354 jobs are on the line across two Arizona companies, according to the latest WARN Act notices filed with the state. The notices involve Tendit Group, a multi-state facility services company, and Republic National Distributing Company, a wholesale beverage alcohol distributor.

According to the state database, here are the impacted workforce numbers and effective dates:

  • Republic National Distributing Company, LLC: 211 workers, effective starting April 23
  • The Tendit Group, LLC.: 143 workers, effective starting April 14

Tendit Group operates across Colorado, Utah and Arizona, offering commercial clients a range of exterior and property maintenance services, including asphalt paving, landscaping, pressure washing and window cleaning.

The Republic National Distributing Company layoffs are part of a larger corporate shift. The wholesale beverage alcohol distributor offloaded its Arizona operations to Reyes Beverage Group, the country's biggest beer distributor, in March.

The move affected more than just Arizona, with RNDC submitting WARN notices for close to 2,800 workers across more than a dozen states.

WARN notices offer protection to workers, their families and communities by requiring employers to provide notice 60 days in advance of plant closings and mass layoffs.
