JA Raises $85,000 During Annual 4.01K Fun Run and Phocus Charity Car S

Junior Achievement of Arizona is pleased to share that this year’s 4.01K Fun Run and Phocus Charity Car Show raised $85,000 to help fuel the financial education of Arizona’s next generation of leaders and professionals through literacy programs designed to help students succeed in work and life.

“We were so thankful to see the community come together to support our mission and Arizona’s youth,” says Anne Landers, Chief Operating Officer of Junior Achievement. “For the second year in a row, the run has allowed us to spread awareness and get people excited to get involved.”

The third annual run welcomed 250 participants from across the Valley as they embarked on a route that started at the Phocus Office Building in Phoenix. The introduction of the Phocus Charity Car Show to the festivities gave participants and spectators alike the opportunity to peruse an exciting selection of classic, racing, and exotic cars such as a 1994 Mazda RX7 FD, 1999 Porsche 911 RWB, 2020 McLaren 720S, 1955 Chevy BelAir and 1930 Ford Model A.

Attendees to this year’s event were able to do even more to impact the community by taking part in a special supply drive hosted by JA. The drive collected donations and essential items for two local schools to ensure their students have access to the items they need to make each and every school day count.
