  1. A lawsuit filed by the Goldwater Institute accuses city officials of devising a "tax shell game" that allows the developer of a 26-story residential tower being built in downtown Phoenix to pay no property taxes on the project for eight years. Goldwater calculates the alleged plan will relieve the developer of $7.9 million in property taxes. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
  2. The American Dream isn't all about white picket fences anymore, according to Tommy Camper Vans in Phoenix. The company, founded by Mikey Rudman two years ago, is a one-stop-shop for people who reject mortgages and long commutes, choosing instead to live "off the grid" in custom-built vans.   3. An innocent bystander was injured in a Walmart shooting, according to Phoenix police. Investigators believe a physical fight began between two women, which led to one of them pulling out a gun and shooting, hitting the bystander.
