PHOENIX, AZ – A man died Thursday afternoon while hiking Echo Canyon Trail on Camelback Mountain. It happened around noon.
The man suffered from a medical condition that caused him to stop breathing.
He was with family at the time.

Firefighters rushed to the scene and scrambled to resuscitate him but to no avail. After consulting with a doctor, they stopped their attempts.
