Here are the top stories today in Phoenix:
- A man died after being shot near Indian School Road on Sunday. According to police, the man was discovered after reports of a shooting in the area. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The man has not yet been identified as of Sunday evening. (The Arizona Republic)
- A 2-year-old girl died on Saturday after drowning in a pool. Firefighters with the Phoenix Fire Department pulled the girl from the backyard pool after receiving a call around 9:00 a.m. According to officials, it is unknown how long the girl was in the pool. One boy was involved in an unrelated drowning call and is listed in stable condition at the hospital. (12news.com KPNX)
- Rents are skyrocketing, so tenants are turning to co-living. According to Yhara Quiroz, a tenant at X Phoenix, the location was attractive because of the availability of co-living. She rents a bedroom in a unit with three other bedrooms, which are occupied by roommates. The company X Phoenix says they are planning a second location in the Roosevelt Row Arts District. (The Arizona Republic)
