Senator John McCain is back in the hospital, being treated for "the normal side effects of his ongoing cancer therapy," his office announced in a statement on Wednesday. McCain was diagnosed earlier this year a virulent form of brain cancer.

During the discussion, Meghan McCain, started to cry and Biden moved next to her, discussed his admiration for her dad and how Beau often talked about her dad's courage.

Senator McCain was grateful.

"There are no words I have to convey my immense gratitude to @JoeBiden and his family - your strength, hope and fortitude are an inspiration to me and so many others daily," McCain tweeted after the show. "Thank you for your kindness today and sharing your story with us @TheView"
