Meghan McCain Leaves Fox News

Meghan McCain is leaving Fox News, where she was a panelist on the show "Outnumbered." The news, first reported by Variety, was confirmed by McCain on Twitter.

"I'm leaving to focus on other things," she tweeted. "I have no doubt the show will continue to do well and wish all my friends and colleagues at the network nothing but success."

In a statement to Patch, Fox News — which hired McCain in 2015 — said it will miss her.

"Meghan has been a valuable part of Outnumbered and the FOX News team," the station said. "We're sad to see her go, but we wish her all the best."

Before joining Fox, McCain, who describes herself as an Arizonan and a New Yorker, worked for The Daily Beast and MSNBC.
