Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today:
- The Phoenix Police Foundation is raising funds for its annual Phoenix Police Youth Experience. The free camp experience is limited to 15 students and runs through Friday, Jul. 22. Participants will explore investigations, forensic science, evidence collection, fingerprinting, and more. Click to learn more about the foundation. (Daily Independent)
- Thousands of Phoenix residents lost power on Sunday night after another monsoon system worked its way across the region. The number of customers without power is in the tens of thousands. - A South Phoenix shooting left one man dead late Sunday night. The incident occurred near 7th Street and Fremont shortly before midnight. The Phoenix Police Department is still investigating the incident but a suspect has been detained. (AZ Family)
