Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today:
- The Phoenix Police Department reports that two minors were detained after an armed robbery on Sunday. The incident occurred in the area of 33rd and Glenrosa Avenue. One of the officers shot at one of the suspects while they were fleeing; no injuries were reported. The incident is being investigated by the department's detectives. (The Arizona Republic)
- Phoenix will be a testing location for a new Uber feature. The testing will be for a new in-app safety feature that allows both drivers and riders to record audio during a ride. There are six cities testing out the new feature. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
- Several Phoenix businesses are offering veterans and active-duty military special discounts to honor Veterans Day. Restaurants such as Myke's Pizza, Original Breakfast House, and more will be offering discounts, events, or donating proceeds in honor of the Nov. 11 holiday. Click for a list of discounts and deals.
