Pedestrian Killed In West Phoenix Crash, Cops Say
Police said the driver stayed at the scene after the crash near 55th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard before 5 a.m.
PHOENIX, AZ — Authorities are investigating a fatal collision that claimed the life of a pedestrian Monday morning in west Phoenix.
The incident occurred near 55th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard in the Maryvale area. Emergency crews responded before dawn after receiving reports of a person who had been struck by a vehicle.
At the scene, first responders found an adult male with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died, according to police.
