Phoenix Police Hit By Series Of Vehicle Burglaries
There have been three burglaries at fenced lots of police substations. One of the items stolen as an AR-15 rifle.

PHOENIX, AZ – Phoenix police usually investigate crimes against other people. Now they are the victims.
Police say that the burglars have been targeting the fenced parking lots of department substations.
The most recent burglary happened last weekend at the Central City Precinct.

The other two incidents happened at the station at Broadway Road and 24th Road.
Among the items stolen were an AR-15 rifle and a Glock handgun. Pepper spray, a badge, and a Taser were also stolen.

Police believe that whoever was behind the burglaries, likely jumped fences, and checked for cars that had been left unlocked.
In addition to investigating the thefts, the department is probing whether department policies have been violated.
