Phoenix Police Thefts: Man Arrested After Fingerprint Found

Phoenix police say that they went to the home of Branden Tucker after finding his fingerprint at a crime scene – a fenced-in police lot.

PHOENIX, AZ – Police don't like it when guns and ammunition are stolen. They really don't like it when they are the victims.

That's what happened three times in the first five weeks of the year to the Phoenix Police Department. The fenced in lot at the South Mountain Precinct Substation was hit twice. The fenced in lot at the Central City Precinct was hit once.

In each burglary, police equipment weapons, and ammunition were stolen.

One of the burglaries, took place at 11 p.m., one at 4 p.m., and one at 11 a.m..

In one of the burglaries, detectives were able to recover a fingerprint.

That led them to 41-year-old Branden Tucker, who was arrested and is now charged with seven counts of burglary along with criminal trespassing.

When police searched his home on the 1400 block of East Irwin Avenue, they found numerous items from the crimes.

The stolen weapons – including a Taser, an AR-15, and a Glock handgun – were not recovered.

The investigation continues.
