PHOENIX - “Ronnie Lopez was a community leader of the best kind. Not only was he a giant in the Latino community but he loved Arizona and he loved Phoenix with all his heart. No matter the campaign or issue, we shared a deep mutual respect and always found ways to work together. Ronnie was a mentor to many and that, along with his family, will be his greatest legacy: the hundreds of young men and women who have learned, by listening to his advice and following his extraordinary example, how to make our communities better. My heart goes out to his wife, Angie, his son, Marcos and all the family and friends he leaves behind. I, too, will miss him."
