Happy Wednesday everyone! Merichelle Norwood here to fill your inbox today with the top stories in the Valley of the Sun.

Today's Weather: High: 97 Low: 76.

📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Phoenix who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.
I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Phoenix Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.

Here are the top stories in Phoenix today:
1) Phoenix Suns and Mercury owner suspended for racial slur and must pay a $10 million fine.

Robert Sarver was the subject of a detailed investigation where it was reported, "While it is difficult to identify with precision what motivated Sarver's workplace behavior described in this report, certain patterns emerged from witness accounts: Sarver often acted aggressively in an apparent effort to provoke a reaction from his targets; Sarver's sense of humor was sophomoric and inappropriate for the workplace; and Sarver behaved as though workplace norms and policies did not apply to him."

2) Phoenix teacher, Trish Morgan, is the only recipient in Arizona to win a $2,000 grant in nationwide contest for her innovative teaching methods.

"Morgan's teaching idea, 'Biomedical Engineering Academy,' explores how Assistive Technologies, including artificial intelligence, can help shape how people with disabilities can navigate daily tasks."

(Arizona's Family)

2) 3 Well-known shopping centers will be getting makeovers soon.

Paradise Valley Mall, Arizona Center, and Park Central will have new developments in the upcoming months.

(PHOENIX magazine)

3) Expect no big concerts at upcoming Arizona State Fair 2022, however entertainment will be aplenty.

The Arizona State Fair has no big headliners for this year, but entertainment includes monster trucks, acrobats, and a Backyard Concert Series of tribute bands featuring music by The Beatles, No Doubt, Bruno Mars, Journey, Selena and more.

(The Arizona Republic)

5) Maricopa County offers emergency funds to cover emergency home repairs, including air-conditioning for many families.

With temperatures still hitting triple digits, the program recently received an additional $3.6 million, which can help hundreds of homes in the area.
