Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix:

  1. On Sunday night, the Phoenix Suns started the first game in their playoff series against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Suns represented Phoenix and beat the Pelicans 110 to 99. After finishing the season with the best record in basketball, they're now fixing their sights on the franchise's first NBA title after coming close last year. (Arizonas Family)
  2. On Sunday night, Jose Moraga-Garcia, 43, was killed in a south Phoenix neighborhood after a motorcycle collision. According to Department Spokesperson Sgt. Philip Krynsky, police responded to the collision near 16th Street and Roeser Road around 10 p.m. Police learned that Moraga-Garcia and his passenger were headed south when they hit the curb and crashed into a tree. The passenger suffered minor injuries and preliminary reports suggest that alcohol was involved. (AZCentral)
