Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix:

  1. The Phoenix Veterans Day Parade is currently accepting nominations for its Veteran Grand Marshals. Nominations will be accepted through Jul. 31. One veteran will be selected from each service era for a total of seven marshals. Click to submit a nomination. (KTAR.com)
  2. A Phoenix couple is reporting that construction work near I-17 and Thunderbird Road is damaging their home. The construction is meant to help clear rainwater by improving drainage. The couple's home is reportedly rattling from the construction work — even causing a giant hole in their garage ceiling. The project is slated for completion by the end of 2023. (Arizona's Family)
  3. A Phoenix three-year-old girl is in critical condition after being rescued from a pool. The Phoenix Fire Department responded to the pool where family members were already performing CPR. The incident has been turned over to the Phoenix Police Department for investigation. Remember to monitor children around bodies of water. (12news.com KPNX)
