The 4,900-square-foot area is lighted and features a swing set, and play and climbing structures designed for children ages 2 to 12. The play amenities are covered by multiple shade canopies.

Along with the addition of the playground, the project included other upgrades to the approximately one-acre park that consist of a new ramada with picnic tables, a perimeter sidewalk with benches and a drinking fountain, and landscaping. Construction was done by contractor Valley Rain. The project was funded by the voter-approved Phoenix Parks and Preserve Initiative (PPPI).
