Rattlesnake Found Hiding In Pool Noodle: Report
A Phoenix area fire department is warning residents to check their pool noodles before using them, as snakes are sometimes found inside.
BUCKEYE, AZ — A Buckeye family found a rattlesnake in a floating pool noodle recently, causing the fire department to issue a warning.
The Buckeye Fire Department said the family was storing a pool noodle next to a wall. "The next time they went to use the pool, the pool noodles were picked up and brought to the swimming pool. Out popped a rattlesnake," they said on their Facebook page.
The snake didn't attack anyone, the Associated Press reports, but the Buckeye Fire Department is still telling residents to keep an eye out for snakes hiding in flotation devices.

This wasn't the first similar report, the AP reports. The fire department said there have been other cases of snakes hiding inside pool noodles.
Keep noodles away from block walls and bushes, as snakes are more likely to be there.
