Scottsdale Road restricted through October for water line replacement

Southbound Scottsdale Road will be reduced to one lane between Mayo and Princess boulevards from July 22 through late October while a water line is replaced. Northbound and intersecting streets will also have intermittent restrictions during the project. Detour on Pima and Tatum roads. Help shape future transportation in the Phoenix region

The Maricopa Association of Governments is working on the next long-range transportation plan. Fill out a 10-minute survey to help MAG create a regional transportation plan that is based on the priorities and values of real residents. The results will be used to develop plans for future roads, freeways, public transit and bike and pedestrian improvements. Loop 101 widening project

The Arizona Department of Transportation has begun a project to widen and improve Loop 101 from Interstate 17 in Phoenix to Pima Road in Scottsdale. • Westbound Loop 101 will be closed from 56th Street to State Route 51 from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5.
• Eastbound Loop 101 will be closed from Scottsdale Road to Hayden Road from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12.
• The westbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Scottsdale Road will be closed until Aug. 16. Detour on Pima Road, Hayden Road or 64th Street.
• The eastbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Scottsdale Road will be closed until Aug. 27. Drivers can access eastbound Loop 101 at 64th Street or Hayden Road.
• The westbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Hayden Road will be closed until Aug. 16. Detour on the westbound frontage road to Scottsdale Road or Pima Road/Princess Drive to access westbound Loop 101.
• The eastbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Hayden Road will be closed until Aug. 16. Detour on Scottsdale Road or Pima Road/Princess Drive off-ramps.

Traffic delays expected at 90th Street and Via Linda during SRPMIC construction project

A Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community construction project southeast of the intersection of 90th Street and Via Linda will cause traffic restrictions and delays on 90th Street from Via Linda to Loop 101 through August. Following are specific upcoming restrictions:

• Northbound Pima Road/90th Street will be reduced to one lane at Loop 101 July 10 - Aug. 23.
• Southbound Pima Road will be closed at Loop 101 July 15 - Aug. 23. Access to Loop 101 in both directions will remain open.

Drinkwater Boulevard underpass closed until fall 2019 for repairs to bridge

The Drinkwater Boulevard underpass will remain closed until fall 2019 to all traffic from Second Street to First Avenue to permit repairs to Drinkwater Bridge. Detour on Scottsdale or Miller roads from Osborn Road to Indian School Road. Please visit ScottsdaleAZ.gov and search "Drinkwater Bridge" for more information on the construction project.

ROAD RESTRICTIONS SOUTH OF INDIAN BEND ROAD

New restrictions

• The southbound curb lane on Hayden Road will be closed at McKinley Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July Aug. 3 - 9 for utility work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of 75th Street and Indian School Road 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 6 - 9 for ADA ramp work.
• The westbound curb lane and sidewalk on Osborn Road will be closed immediately east of Drinkwater Boulevard Aug. 3 - 9 for nearby construction work.
• The westbound median lane on Camelback Road will be closed at Brown Avenue 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 7 - 9 for road work.
• Traffic will be reduced to one lane in all directions at the intersection of McDowell Road and Scottsdale Road from 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, for utility work in the intersection.
• The southbound curb lane on Scottsdale Road will be closed at McDowell Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 5 - 30 for utility work. During those same times and dates the westbound curb lane on McDowell Road will be closed at Scottsdale Road.
• The westbound right turn bay on Indian School Road will be closed at Miller Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays through Friday, Aug. 16, for utility work.
• Southbound traffic on Miller Road will be shifted to the center two-way left turn lane at Earll Drive 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 29 - Aug. 9 for utility work.
• The eastbound curb lane on Thomas Road will be closed at 70th Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 1 - 16 for utility work.

Ongoing restrictions

• The southbound curb lane on Scottsdale Road will be closed at Skysong Boulevard 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 29 - Aug. 16 for utility work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of McDonald Drive and Granite Reef Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 29 - Aug. 5 for road work. During those same times and dates multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersections of McDonald Drive and 86th Street and at McDonald Drive and Pima Road.
• The northbound curb lane on Scottsdale Road will be closed immediately north of Roosevelt Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 29 - Aug. 16 for utility work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Scottsdale Road and Indian School Road 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights July 21 - Aug. 4 while a new gas main line is installed. During those same times and dates the northbound left turn lanes on Scottsdale Road will be closed at Main Street, First Avenue and Indian School Road.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on or near 82nd Street from McDonald Drive to Redwing Road 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays July 29 - Aug. 3 for ADA ramp work.
• The southbound curb lane on Goldwater Boulevard will be closed at 5th Avenue 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 22 - Aug. 9 for utility work.
• Northbound Hayden Road will be reduced to one lane at McKellips Road through Saturday, Aug. 17, for a gas line installation. During those same times and dates the westbound left turn lanes on McKellips Road will be closed at Hayden Road.
• The eastbound curb and right turn lanes on Indian School Road will be closed at Goldwater Boulevard 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 22 - Aug. 7 for utility work. During those same times and dates the westbound median lane on Indian School Road will also be closed at Goldwater Boulevard.
• The northbound curb lane on Scottsdale Road will be closed immediately north of Chaparral Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 23 - Aug. 7 for utility work.
• The eastbound curb lane on Indian School Road will be closed immediately east of 68th Street 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays July 22 - Aug. 2 for fiber work. During those same times and dates southbound traffic on 68th Street will be shifted away from work in the center two-way left-turn lane.
• The eastbound curb lane on McDowell Road will be closed immediately west of Pima Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 19 - Aug. 2 for utility work.
• The southbound curb lane on Hayden Road will be closed at Roosevelt Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 25 - Aug. 9 for utility work.
• Multiple restrictions will occur on southbound 70th Street at Osborn and Thomas roads 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 19 - Aug. 2 for utility work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Indian School Road and Hayden Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 19 - Aug. 6 (except Sundays) for utility work.
• First Street will be closed from Marshall Way to immediately west of Scottsdale Road June 3 - Nov. 15 for utility work. Detour on Main Street or Second Street.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Hayden Road and Thomas Road through Friday, Aug. 16, for road work.
• Westbound traffic on First Street will be shifted to the center line immediately east of Scottsdale Road through Thursday, Aug. 1, for road work.

Upcoming restrictions

• The southbound curb lane on Miller Road will be closed at Indian School Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 12 - 26 for boring.

ROAD RESTRICTIONS FROM INDIAN BEND TO THUNDERBIRD ROADS

New restrictions

• The median and left turn lanes in both directions on Via de Ventura will be closed at Via Linda Aug. 3 - 9 for median work.
• Intermittent lane restrictions will occur on Scottsdale Road in both directions from Mountain View Road to Thunderbird Road 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Aug. 1 - 14 (except Sundays) for utility work.
• A flag person operation will control traffic on Cholla Street immediately west of 98th Place 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 5 - 9 for road work.
• Northbound traffic on 91st Street will be shifted to the center two-way left-turn lane immediately north of Via Linda weekdays Aug. 5 - 17 for boring.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Via Linda and Hayden Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 29 - Aug. 16 for utility work.
• A flag person operation will control traffic at 98th Street and Charter Oak Road weekdays July 29 - Aug. 12 for utility work.
• The southbound curb lane on Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be closed at Desert Cove Avenue 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 1 - 9 for boring. During those same times and dates a flag person operation will control traffic at 113th Street and Desert Cove Avenue.

Ongoing restrictions

• Northbound Scottsdale Road will be reduced to one lane immediately north of Shea Boulevard 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 30 - Aug. 13 (except Sundays) for boring.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on southbound Pima Road from Inner Circle to Indian Bend Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 1 - 9 for fiber work.
• During those same times and dates the westbound curb lane on Indian Bend Road will be closed at Pima Road.
• The northbound curb lane on Scottsdale Road will be closed immediately north of Mountain View Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 2 - 9 for boring.
• A flag person operation will control traffic on 124th Street at Columbine Drive 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 27 - Aug. 2 for ADA ramp work.
• The southbound curb lane on 124th Street will be closed from Summit Drive to Kalil Drive 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 27 - Aug. 2 for ADA ramp work.
• The northbound curb lane on 124th street will be closed at Cortez Drive 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 27 - Aug. 2 for ADA ramp work.
• The northbound curb lane on Scottsdale Road will be closed at Cheney Drive 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 25 - Aug. 2 for road work.
• Traffic on 84th Street will be controlled by a flag person operation immediately south of Desert Cove Avenue July 22 - Aug. 9 for a driveway construction.
• Scottsdale Road will be reduced to two lanes in each direction at Doubletree Ranch Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 22 - Aug. 16 (except Sundays) for utility work. During those same dates and times, the eastbound curb lane on Doubletree Ranch Road will be closed immediately east of Scottsdale Road, and northbound Scottsdale Road will be reduced to two lanes at Gainey Suites Drive.
• Northbound traffic on 100th Street will be shifted to the center two-way left-turn lane at Pershing Avenue 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 24 - Aug. 9 for utility work.
• The westbound curb lane on Doubletree Ranch Road will be closed at Gainey Club Drive 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 22 - Aug. 2 for utility work.
• A flag person operation will control traffic on Gold Dust Avenue immediately east of 125th Street 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays July 22 - Aug. 9 for utility work.
• The northbound curb lane on 90th Street will be closed immediately south and immediately north of the Mustang Roundabout 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 22 - Aug. 9 for utility work.

Upcoming restrictions

• The eastbound curb lane on Shea Boulevard will be closed at 90th Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 12 - 23 for boring. During those same times and dates the northbound curb lane on 90th Street will be closed at Mountain View Road.

ROAD RESTRICTIONS NORTH OF THUNDERBIRD ROAD

New restrictions

• Intermittent lane restrictions will occur on Happy Valley Road in both directions from Pima Road to Alma School Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 7 - 14 for road work.
• The northbound curb lane on Scottsdale Road will be closed at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard July 29 - Aug. 16 (except Sundays) for utility work.
• Northbound traffic on Pima Road will be shifted toward the center of the road at Dixileta Drive 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Aug. 5 - 9 for road work.
• During those same times and dates the shoulder next to northbound Pima Road will be closed.

Ongoing restrictions

• The northbound right turn bay on Scottsdale Road will be closed at Hummingbird Lane 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 30 - Aug. 9 (except Sundays) for utility work.
• The southbound curb lane on Hayden Road will be closed at Mayo Boulevard 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays July 22 - Aug. 18 for driveway work. During those same times and dates median lanes in both directions on Hayden Road will be closed at Mayo Boulevard.
• The northbound curb lane on Scottsdale Road will be closed at Redfield Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 22 - Aug. 7 for boring. During those same times and dates northbound traffic on 73rd Street will be shifted to the center two-way left-turn lane at Redfield Road.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on Bahia Drive from 90th Street to 91st Street 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays July 22 - Aug. 2 for boring.
• Lanes will alternately be closed on Thompson Peak Parkway at 100th Street July 29 - Aug. 2 for bridge maintenance.
• Southbound traffic on 73rd street will be shifted toward the center of the road at Scottsdale Healthcare Drive 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 15 - Aug. 2 for utility work.
• Traffic on Princess Boulevard will be controlled by a flag person operation at 77th Place 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays July 1 - Aug. 31 for boring.
