Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today:
- A Phoenix property owner who previously won a fight against the city to put up his own Super Bowl signs had his signs stolen. Bramley Paulin, who sued the city over its "clean zone," had his signs stolen from one of his properties within hours of putting them up — the theft was caught on camera. Video surveillance showed two men with a ladder climbing the property fence at around 4:30 p.m. and stealing the signs. You can view the video of the incident at the link. (12news.com KPNX)
- Do you have sports gear lying around that's going unused? The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley is hosting its second Chance Sports Gear Drive to support youth recreational sports programs. You can donate your sports gear, including volleyballs, bags, shinguards, gloves, basketballs, and more, now through Feb. 28 at any Earnhardt Auto Center location! Monetary donations are also welcome. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
- Next month, the Italian Association of Arizona will host its eighth annual Italian Festival. On Mar. 4 and 5, downtown Phoenix's Heritage Square will host the festival; then, on Mar. 11 and 12, the Sun Dial Recreation Center in Sun City will become "Little Italy." During the festival, attendees can expect opera singers, leather purse vendors, and plenty of delicious food options. Face painters and balloon makers will be in the Kid's Zone.
