Sit, Stay, Play: Westin Tempe to Host Senior Dog “Rover Nights”

TEMPE, ARIZ. (November 11, 2024) – In honor of November’s Adopt a Senior Pet Month, Westin Tempe will host senior dog “Rover Nights” in partnership with Arizona Humane Society (AHS). The initiative shines a spotlight on Arizona Humane Society’s lovable senior dogs and offers potential adopters the opportunity to meet their newest furry friend.

From Nov. 17 to Nov. 21, Westin Tempe will donate one complimentary night to five select individuals interested in adopting a senior dog. This collaboration allows adopters to bring a senior shelter dog into a loving environment, giving both pets and potential owners a chance to bond while enjoying the luxuries and pet-friendly amenities of Westin Tempe.

Selected participants will have the exclusive opportunity to skip the line at the AHS Papago Park Campus and meet with an adoption matchmaker who will introduce them to available senior dogs. After choosing a furry companion for their night’s stay, AHS will provide all necessary supplies, including a leash, food, toys and a crate if necessary. Adopters will also receive a credit to the Papago Park Campus store, Petique.

In addition to the room accommodations, Westin Tempe will offer:

• A $150 food and beverage credit
• A dog bed and dog bowls for the duration of the stay

After their "Rover Night," if participants decide they've found their perfect match, they can take advantage of an expedited, digital adoption process—eliminating the need for a second trip to the shelter.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Applicants must live in the Phoenix area
• Must have a personal vehicle to transport the dog
• Must be 21 years of age or older
