Tempe Diablos Urge Nonprofits to Apply for Annual Grants Before December 31 Deadline

Tempe Diablos Charities is calling on local nonprofits to apply for its annual grant program before their December 31, 2025 deadline. With just two weeks remaining in the grant cycle, the organization has received only 30% as many applications as last year and is encouraging more Tempe-based organizations to take advantage of this opportunity.

The Diablos’ grants support nonprofits making a meaningful impact in the Tempe community, with a focus on education, youth services, health, arts and community development. Each year, the Diablos award hundreds of thousands of dollars to organizations that help improve Tempe. In 2024, the Diablos distributed over $650,000 to more than 70 nonprofits, funding everything from scholarships and youth programs to public safety initiatives and family support services.

“With only two weeks left, we are encouraging more local organizations to apply and take advantage of this opportunity,” said Russ Homes, Chairman of Tempe Diablos Charities. “Our grants are designed to strengthen Tempe by supporting nonprofits that make a real difference in education, youth services, health and community development. Whether you’ve received a grant from the Tempe Diablos in the past or are applying for the first time, we welcome all eligible nonprofits to submit an application and join us in making a positive impact on the community.”

Required Materials Include:

• A completed application.

• A complete list of corporations and foundations that have given to the organization in the most immediate previous year and how much each has given ($5,000.00 and above).

• Annual operating budget.

• A list of Board of Directors of the organization, including primary business or professional affiliation of each.

The grant program reflects the Diablos’ long-standing commitment to community leadership and giving back. Since 1968, the organization has awarded over $20 million to local nonprofits, schools, and service initiatives.

Tempe Diablos Charities has one funding cycle per fiscal year. For a grant to be considered, the completed application along with required attachments must be received by the Diablos online at https://tempediabloscharities.org/2025-grant-application-form/.
