Tempe Woman’s Mission to Change Lives with the Suzy Foundation
Organization Awarded $10,000 from Local Insurance Agency through Safeco® Make More Happen Awards

In 2006, Jaime Arredondo and her husband, Jeremy gave birth to their daughter, Suzy, who was affected by severe grand mal seizures and later diagnosed with several disabilities and developmental delays. After considering how many other local families are impacted by the emotional and financial toll of managing disabilities, the Arredondo family started a mission to give back by creating the Suzy Foundation.
The Suzy Foundation helps obtain assistive equipment for individuals with special needs who would otherwise not be able to afford them. Most recently, the foundation was able to grant an applicant with a bilateral ankle/foot brace, giving a child the freedom to walk on their own for the first time.
Fortunately, the Suzy Foundation recently received a $10,000 donation from Arredondo Insurance through the 2018 Safeco Insurance® Make More Happen Awards, which will enable the team to provide financial support to a number of new applicants. Jamie is determined to increase the organization’s impact by continuing to build awareness throughout the greater Phoenix area.

“The Arredondo Insurance team has worked with the Suzy Foundation for nearly seven years, and we are incredibly thankful for being awarded the Safeco Insurance Make More Happen Award so we can change even more lives,” said Jaime, an independent agent for Arredondo Insurance. “The Suzy Foundation has had a significant impact on families throughout our community and these funds will help continue to make a difference.”
