Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix:

  1. A toddler in a stroller landed in the hospital after being hit by a driver who ran a red light. A family member was pushing the stroller down the crosswalk at 19th and Glendale Avenues when a charcoal gray Nissan allegedly hit the stroller and failed to stop. The toddler was seriously injured but is reported to be in stable condition. (Arizona's Family)
  2. Residents of the Lazy Daze Mobile Home Park in Phoenix are worried that protesting against their landlord will mean retaliation — but many say they feel they have no other options. Electrical lines and boxes at the mobile home community have reportedly not been replaced since the 1970s, and residents say their "life could be in danger." Additionally, a report found that residents are routinely charged "violation fees" and receive eviction notices over random and sometimes unfounded rule violations. (Arizona Mirror)
  3. An Arizona Department of Transportation trooper was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Sunday night near 40th Street and the Loop 202. According to authorities, the trooper was responding to a different crash when the DPS vehicle crashed into the car in the eastbound lanes. The driver of the other vehicle reportedly did not have any injuries, while the trooper was evaluated at a local hospital for minor injuries. (Arizona's Family)
