Westin Tempe Celebrates ASU Move-In Weekend With Four Days of Toasts, Tunes and Tastes

TEMPE, ARIZ. (August 6, 2025) – As Sun Devils gear up for a new academic year, Westin Tempe is rolling out the maroon and gold carpet for students and their families during ASU Move-In Weekend, August 14-17. The hotel will transform into a spirited, photo-ready haven of ASU pride with rooftop entertainment, food and drink specials, and daily activations designed to welcome students and parents back to Tempe in style.

Whether you’re settling in a freshman or celebrating a senior’s last year, this four-day lineup of curated events promises something for everyone, from pool yoga and tequila tastings to parent mixers and DJ-fueled rooftop parties.

• Ongoing August 14-17:
  • Snap a family photo with ASU-themed backdrops, complete with maroon-and-gold balloon arches and spirited décor throughout the property.
  • Every 15 minutes from 4-5 p.m., Westin Tempe staff will raise a glass in the lobby during check-in to honor the parents behind the move-in magic.
  • Note card station for parents and students to write letters of gratitude
